PatternFable

Terms of Service

Last updated:

These Terms explain how you may use PatternFable and the conditions that apply to its digital pattern and PDF export services.

Service description

PatternFable is an online tool that converts uploaded images into cross-stitch patterns. You can review thread colours, edit individual stitches, save projects and export printable PDF charts. It provides digital tools and files, not physical stitching kits, thread or finished embroidery.

By using PatternFable, you agree to these Terms. Generated patterns are approximations: image detail, thread matches, stitch counts, dimensions and printed colours may differ from the original or your materials. Review the chart and print settings before buying supplies or starting a project.

User accounts

Some features may be available to guests; account features apply where enabled. Provide accurate account and contact information, keep your credentials secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.

Guest projects depend on access information stored in your browser. Clearing cookies or changing browsers may prevent you from reopening a project. An account does not automatically recover or transfer a guest project unless the service explicitly offers that feature.

Paid one-time export credits

PDF exports are currently free during the preview phase, and paid checkout is not yet enabled. When paid exports become available, you may buy one-time export credits in the quantities displayed at checkout. An export credit covers the PDF export described in the offer; it does not purchase ownership of PatternFable or rights to someone else’s images.

One-time credit purchases do not automatically renew or create a subscription. Prices, currency, taxes, any expiry conditions and the export entitlement will be disclosed before payment. Credits are not cash and cannot be transferred or redeemed for money, except for refunds or remedies that apply to your purchase.

Digital service and payment terms

Purchases, when enabled, are for a digital export service and downloadable files; nothing is shipped. Payment is processed by the payment provider identified at checkout, under its applicable payment terms. PatternFable does not directly store full payment card details.

Export credits must only be added after a verified payment webhook confirms the completed order. A browser redirect, order identifier or visit to the payment-success page does not prove payment and does not grant credits. Confirmation can take a short time; contact us with your order reference if a completed payment is not reflected in your account.

If immediate digital delivery requires your consent or an acknowledgment affecting a cancellation right, it must be obtained at checkout where required by law. These Terms alone do not waive mandatory consumer rights.

Refund policy

When paid credits are available, you may request a refund for unused credits within 14 days of purchase by emailing patternfable@siqinai.com with your order reference and account email. Do not send full card details. Used credits and successfully delivered PDF exports are generally not refundable for a change of mind, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Contact us about duplicate charges, credits that were not delivered or an export that fails because of a service fault. We will investigate and, as appropriate, restore the credit, provide the export or arrange a refund through the payment provider. Approved refunds return through the original payment method where possible; processing time depends on the provider and your bank.

This policy does not limit any mandatory withdrawal, refund or other consumer rights, including remedies for a digital service that is not supplied or does not conform to the purchase description.

Acceptable use

Do not use PatternFable for unlawful, abusive or infringing content; upload malicious files; attempt to access other users’ projects; bypass access controls or payment checks; or disrupt the service through excessive automated requests. Do not use the service to distribute material that violates another person’s privacy or other rights.

Uploaded images and intellectual-property rights

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to upload, process and use your images, including permission from relevant rights holders or people depicted where required. Converting an image into a chart does not remove copyright, trademark, privacy or other restrictions. You are also responsible for having permission to share or sell a pattern or a finished work based on that image.

You retain any rights you hold in your uploads and original contributions. You give PatternFable the limited permission needed to host, process, display to you and export your content to provide the service. Uploading a private image does not authorize its use in a public product example. PatternFable’s software, branding and site materials remain subject to their respective intellectual-property rights and licenses.

Service availability and changes

Features, usage limits and supported file formats may change. Maintenance, provider failures or technical issues can interrupt access, and uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Keep your own copies of important images and exported files.

We may update these Terms and will change the date shown on this page. Material changes affecting existing purchases will be communicated where required. Changes do not remove remedies or rights already attached to a purchase; if paid services are withdrawn before an entitlement can be supplied, contact us for an appropriate remedy.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, PatternFable is provided without a guarantee that every generated chart will meet your individual expectations, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. You remain responsible for checking your pattern and choosing appropriate materials.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer rights or liability for fraud or intentional misconduct. Mandatory legal protections take precedence over any conflicting provision.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and request account or project deletion by contacting us. We may restrict or terminate access for a material breach of these Terms, fraud, unlawful activity or threats to service security. Where practical and lawful, we will provide notice and a chance to resolve the issue.

Termination does not remove any refund or other rights that apply by law. Contact us about outstanding paid entitlements; content retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.
